About Us

Al Ameen Primary School was set up in September 2005 by members of the local community who really wanted to
make a difference. Although we began as an early years unit, the school built itself with it’s pupils and has been
running as a complete early years and primary school setting for many years.

The school has a vision to develop confident, respectful, active British Muslims who achieve academic excellence and
draw guidance from the Quran and life of the Prophet (peace be upon him). We want our children to be proud of who
they are and to be confident that there can be no barrier to them being successful.

Our children are growing in a rapidly developing world and as such, need to be prepared for the challenges and
opportunities they will pass through. We aim to guide them along this exciting journey instilling within them good
character, a passion for learning and a connection with their faith and values

We are a single form, independent Islamic primary school registered with the Department for Education. Our school has been graded as a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted (Ofsted report 2017).

Our school has an early years unit and children may join us in the term following their third birthday. Our nursery and primary school are vibrant and motivating places of learning where every child matters and where we provide a safe, secure and warm environment for all our pupils to flourish. We recognise that all of our children are unique and we will do everything we can to develop them to the best of their ability.

We have a governing board who take the learning and development of our pupils seriously and work with commitment and energy alongside the school’s leadership team to improve oportunities for children.
